In this project you will have the opportunity to volunteer in a residential care and nursing home for elderly people in the beautiful province of Lower Austria. You will be part of an experienced, proactive and mindful team that accompanies and cares for elderly people. The staff members and volunteers are very motivated and dedicated to create a warm and supportive environment for their clients. We offer a great variety of activities: accompanying and caring for elderly people and learning about renowned methods like biography work and empathetic talks; conceptualizing and performing activities with individuals and groups, eg music, crafts, gardening, animal supported therapy; taking care of the outdoor area, eg. new concepts of how to cultivate the garden; organising excursions and events, being creative in decorating for festivities; supporting the PR-team in creating promotional material etc.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
You will have free accommodation for the duration of your stay, offered and organized by your chosen nursing home. Depending on the location, you will have your private apartment or private room in a shared flat with the second volunteer. In addition, each volunteer receives 210€ pocket money and 240€ food allowance per month. Food will be provided by the company kitchen free of charge. Furthermore, you will receive a monthly flat rate for public transport and/or the ÖBB VorteilsCard which allows you to travel on trains at a discounted rate during an entire year.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
You will participate in an On-Arrival-Training as well as a Mid-Term-Meeting organized by the National Agency. Furthermore there will be a volunteers' meeting organized by your coordinating organization. You will also be offered a German language course according to your needs.
