Opis
The Eric Tabarly school is a college for teenagers (12 to 15). They are looking for a volunteer (a Spanish-speaking male or female, an experience in this field is necessary) during the school time. He/She must be ready to share his/her values (Europe, Spain, citizenship, ecology, health) and likes sports. He/she must like to work as part of a team with teachers for daily work but also to work on his/her project. On wednesdays and part of holidays the hours may vary: the volunteer is going to work in a social center to do some activities with the youth workers, especially for young people aged 11-14 years in their everyday lives. These activities include excursions, sports, board games etc.. Furthermore, he/she will be daily involved in the extracurricular education of elementary school students who come to the social center to do their homework and to play afterwards. The school is located in the nearby town - 30 minutes by public transport or 20 minutes by bike.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
The volunteer lives together with five other volunteers in a big house with a garden located in the city of Villemomble in Seine-Saint-Denis. Each person has a private room and has to share the toilet, bathroom, kitchen, living room, terrace, garden, wifi, TV set and a barbecue. The city of Paris is accessible by train in about 45 minutes depending on the destination. The monthly allowance is 500 euros per month for food, pocket money and a monthly subscription for the entire regional transport network.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
First the volunteer will have a two-day training to be supported in the integration into the local life and the host structure. In addition, two seminars are organised by the French agency ERASMUS+. If the volunteer finds it difficult to speak the French language, the tutor teacher who is a Spanish teacher will be helpful and conduct mediations.
Profil sudionika
We are looking for a volunteer who is open-minded, helpful and engaged. He/she needs to be interested in european topics and citizenship and is ready to integrate the own ideas into the project. Furthermore, the volunteer should enjoy working with children and teenagers (11-14-year-olds) and loves doing sports. As the volunteer will live in a house with others, he/she needs to be social and a teamplayer. Speaking Spanish with native fluency is obligatory. Additionally, an interest in striving for a future career in the education sector is a plus for the selection.
