Opis
This is a long-term volunteering project. A person will have an opportunity to volunteer alongside Druskininkai Youth Activity Centre ‘s youth workers and other staff members. This volunteering experience will include communication with young people, who spend their free time in the Centre daily, organizing various activities, events, also posting various events on social media. It is important for a volunteer to be willing to work with youth, be open to conversations, playing board games together. A volunteer should be also prepared for challenges while communicating with youth with fewer opportunities. We aim to motivate young people ‘s participation in Druskininkai community`s social life. We aim to provide volunteer with skills, knowledge, and competences for their personal development. To increase opportunities for volunteer's employability in the future and to ensure a heigh quality volunteering experience.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Organizers will reimburse travel costs up to the limit depending on Volunteer's country, according to EU distance Calculator program. Financial support in the form of pocket money (5 Eur per day) and food allowance (5 Eur per day) will be assured by the organizer. The Volunteer will be registered and and receive free medical insurance for ESC program – Henner. At the same period of time a volunteer will share an apartment with another volunteer. The apartment is located near volunteering place. Each volunteer will have an individual room, the kitchen and the bath will be shared.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
The training and mentoring for a volunteer will be provided by NA according to the program. Volunteer will be as well guided in the learning processes through YouthPass. Volunteer will have a mentor and a tutor, they will assist with daily tasks, work, and smooth integration into the social life.
Profil sudionika
We are looking for open minded person, who is not afraid of challenges and ready to learn. It is important that a volunteer will be willing to work with youth, be open to conversations, assuring on creating a safe leisure time for youth. We support young people’s initiatives and volunteer will be able to organize activities for community independently or with Youth Centre’s assistance (teach others and play with different musical instruments, play with DJ console, sing, do different sport activities, organize photo, or video sessions, painting sessions or create different hand crafts etc.). Participants from European Union countries will be selected only. Selected candidates will receive an Infopack.
