AYUNTAMIENTO DE RIBADAVIA (SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY)

Opis

During this long-term project running from late november 2026 to late november 2027, we are excited to host 2 volunteers to actively participate in the local community life. The hosting organization for this European Solidarity Corps project in Spain will be the Municipality of Ribadavia (Ayuntamiento de Ribadavia). Based at the Municipal Youth Information Office (OMIX), located in the Youth Center the volunteers will work alongside our full-time staff. The project also involves active collaboration with local associations and municipal departments, including the Cultural Centre, Social Services, the Environmental Area, and the Tourist Information Office. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to local youth initiatives (covering linguistic, artistic, technological, eco-gardening, and other sociocultural activities), support local events in Ribadavia, and assist in managing European projects within the framework of Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.

Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz

Volunteers will live in a shared, fully equipped flat near the workplace, with their own single room (living room, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and balcony). 

Financial support includes €180/month for food and €180/month as pocket money. 

Travel costs to/from Ribadavia are reimbursed according to ESC distance bands (with extra support for green travel). 

Volunteers also enjoy free access to local municipal facilities, including sports services (gym, swimming pool, tennis court) and the public library.

 

 

Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti

The volunteers will work under the supervision of a professional and other volunteers of the association and also will have at least one tutor for personal support. The organization will provide necessary training for project activities and local integration, along with weekly mentoring/evaluation meetings. Participation in the Training and Evaluation Cycle organized by the Spanish National Agency is mandatory. Language support includes online Spanish courses, with the option to attend local short lessons. Additionally, volunteers can join local seminars, conferences, and workshops.

Profil sudionika

We are looking for creative and motivated people and also interested in working with young people, other associations, in European and local projects. Willing and open to the abilities of the other volunteers, interested in experiencing non formal education and working in a multicultural environment. The idea is to learn from each other always with the help of the activity supervisor. 

We are looking for motivated people to build a team with diverse interests and skills. While previous experience in similar tasks is not required, having a strong motivation to participate in the European Solidarity Corps is key.

Specifically, we are looking for profiles that fit into one (or a combination) of these 3 main areas:

1. Audiovisual and Communication

• Graphic design, photography, and video creation.
• Social media promotion, communication, and website management (Wordpress).
• Assisting with the technical aspects of local events and activities.

2. Europe

• Support in Erasmus+ projects within the youth framework.
• Support for European Solidarity Corps projects and other EU programs.

3. Arts, Culture, and Sustainability

• Art and creativity workshops for local youth.
• Creating or participating in activities related to music, theater, creative writing, crafting, painting, and street art.
• Involvement in the decorative/artistic side of local festivals and projects.
• Workshops in the ecological garden and activities focused on the circular economy, upcycling, and eco-friendly practices.
• Managing the green/sustainable aspects of festivals and municipal projects.
