Join us at Ananda Kalyani and practise your hospitality skills to help establish a new rural hostel. We currently are in the process of building up and implementing our marketing strategy and procedures to implement it successfully. You will be able to be part of the process, learn and co-create, plan and implement this structure, such as: warmly welcome guests and visitors on arrival; communicating with potential guests on booking platforms, and keep the communication open and effective on the field; contribute to a vibrant, harmonious and safe atmosphere; provide administrative support with integrity; execute hands-on tasks, as well as intellectual/marketing ones; receive guidance and be open to learn and follow guidelines +Dates and duration are flexible! *Note: applications in English. Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Volunteers will be provided accommodation in one of the community houses, sharing a room with one or more fellow volunteers. The rooms are equipped with the basic comforts such as a bed, sleeping bags, pillow, and light. If preferred, there is also the option to camp with a tent on the land in the warmer seasons. Food: a local team prepares the food for the community (lunch and dinner) according to the Sattvic diet. There is a self service policy for breakfast. Throughout the whole day there is a tea table with tea, coffee, and fruits. Rides will be provided if needed among the community.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
As a volunteer, you will be mentored, coached and trained in your role from the concerning coordinator, through direct guidance and through learning by doing. Daily tasks will require your communication skills in English. Someone who: privileges friendly communication and has hospitality skills; is aligned with Ananda Kalyani’s values and feel comfortable representing them while hosting others; is highly motivated and feels inspired to work in a team; is flexible to learn and perform different tasks; has a solution-oriented, assertive and reliable mindset; aspires to learn having an overview on the whole hostel project; enjoys both mental and hands-on work; has basic computer skills to learn more digital tools; preferably is committed to long-term (possibility to extend time after ESC agreement ends).
