KCAT is currently the only inclusive, multidisciplinary arts organisation in Ireland. We contribute to an evolving Irish culture of art making where diversity will rapidly become the norm. KCAT creates an opportunity for the most extreme diversities to be bridged. For many years we have promoted, facilitated, nurtured and advocated for diversity and inclusion in the mainstream cultural infrastructure in Ireland. In visual art, theatre and dance we are amplifying, facilitating and representing diverse, marginalised and often muted voices in our galleries and on our pages, stages and screens. For the volunteers engagement in theses solidarity activities our objective is to effect positive societal change by the focus on inclusion, while improving their skills through the arts and their competences for personal and professional The general ESC roles are: Assisting the tutors/facilitators and students in the classroom,Supporting courses, projects, performances, exhibitions etc.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
€375.00 of Pocket money transferred monthly. Travel costs refunded up to €275.00 and accommodation provided - our ESC Volunteers stay with reliable local Host Families, where they have a bedroom for themselves.

Below is a list of provided training, and mandatory online courses to be completed before or during your volunteering: Garda Vetting, Police Clearance, Fire Marshall, Manual Handling, Children First Safeguarding Adults at Risk of Abuse Basics of Infection Prevention & Control National Standards for Infection, prevention and control in community services Amric Standard and transmission based precuations Amric Hand Hygiene Putting on and taking off PPE in community healthcare setting

Volunteering in KCAT Arts Centre can be fun and very rewarding, but also sometimes physically and mentally challenging. Genuine interest, energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to persevere are essential. You will be working together closely with other people, including adults with support needs, other volunteers and employees. We all contribute to the arts centre in different ways and can learn a lot from openness to the different contribution made by others. You will be allocated to support the centre and the students and artists as per your Volunteer Agreement.
