Since 37 years, the district of Lower Franconia in Bavaria and the Department of Calvados in Normandy have developped a strong cooperation based on numerous twin-cities, french-german cultural exchanges and events, educative actions and the promotion of the partner-language, youth volunteering exchanges... As part of the Educative Actions, Citizenship and European office of the Calvados council, your tasks are: Raising awareness of Europe in general and Germany in particular (e.g. in schools, twinning committees, youth organizations, etc.) Sharing your own experiences of voluntary service with young people and encourage them to be mobile and open to other cultures, Participating in the preparation and implementation of European activities (e.g. Europe Day, cultural events, seminars or youth projects, etc.) Be the ambassador of french-german friendship in the department of Calvados.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Accommodation in a university room on the central campus of Caen. Access on foot to all services, catering and leisure offers in the city center, as well as to the offices of the Department. The volunteer will be autonomous in the management of his meals, kitchen areas in the offices allow him to heat up a dish and eat with colleagues. A bicycle is available. Possible subscription to the local bus network or to the regional train network. A device "Atouts Normandie" offered by the Regional Council allows access for young people at reduced rates to many cultural and sporting activities.
Formazione durante l'attività
Possibility of benefiting from the training of language assistants on animation in schools, opportunity to accompany meetings of youth workers, project management experimentation, event organization, better knowledge of the functioning and actions of the European Union.

You come from Germany, you have good knowledge of French, you are outgoing and responsible. You are interested in bringing young French people closer to Germany and its culture and you would like to get to know France, the country and its people as well as its professional world. You have the driver's license.
