Husmandsstedet is an activity and recreation center, located in a former farmhouse in the heart of Sdr. Naeraa, Aarslev. Here everybody is welcome to come and participate in different kind of activities or interest groups, such as music groups, drama, creative work, courses and training etc. In particular, children and youngsters, from 10-year-olds onwards, are welcome to spend their leisure time in the center to explore their interests and hobbies. Children and youngsters are supervised by minimum two adults, and Husmandsstedet also invites parents to keep close contact with the center in order to keep up with their children’s well-being. More than 150 children and youngsters take advantage of Husmandsstedet, and each day about 40–60 are visiting the place. !! Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The volunteer will be living with a host family. The volunteer will receive pocket money. The volunteer will receive monthly payments for personal expenses.
Formazione durante l'attività
There is an English-speaking mentor who is responsible for answering questions. The volunteer will receive an On-Arrival-Training at the beginning and a Mid-Term-Evaluation after half of their time.
Profilo del partecipante
The volunteer will work creatively with the children: playing games, encouraging them to do new activities or just being there for them and having a chat, etc. He/She should be : Open-minded and social, german speaking person and at least basic knowledge of English initiative, has creative approach. The volunteer will be present during the opening hours of the centre and work under the supervision of his/her contact person. Children love to try new things and the volunteer is invited to come up with his or her own ideas
