Opis
Tampere youth services is looking for a volunteer in youth work for 3 summer months. As a volunteer you get to do meaningful work supporting the safe growth of local young people and providing fun activities for children and youth. Tampere Youth Services is the main provider of youth work in the city of Tampere and provides activities for youth (aged 9-29) mostly in their free time. The tasks of the project include working in children’s traffic park and organizing activities for young people in their neighborhood. You also have the opportunity to work in an ecovillage. The project includes working in the evenings and on Saturdays. You will be working in different locations and closely with other ESC volunteers and youth workers.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
As a volunteer you will share a student apartment with other volunteers. You will share kitchen and lavatory, but you’ll have your own room. You will also have an access to a common room and a common sauna. The apartment is located close to a tram station and several bus stops, so going to the city center and other locations is easy. Public transportation card will be covered. You can buy your own food with a payment card provided by the host organisation.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
Volunteers will have adequate support to learn about Finnish youth work with the support of professionals. The learning opportunities for the volunteers are in relation to: - Learning about youth work - Learning to plan and prepare activities - Learning to work with groups - Developing skills in leading and communicating - Strengthening your English skills - Learning new things about yourself - Learning about the Finnish culture and society - Learning Finnish language.
Profil sudionika
We are looking for a volunteer who wants to learn about youth work and lead activities. You don’t have to have experience in working with youth, but we expect you to have an interest in youth work, young people and children. We are looking for someone that is flexible and willing to challenge themselves. We appreciate a good sense of humor and the ability to laugh at yourself!
