Opis
The volunteer will be involved in all activities as a full member of the team M24. The general tasks are supporting administrative tasks, updating the website and the social media, co-organization of cultural and creative projects and events, working in the cafe and taking part of the team meetings. In addition, the volunteer is welcome to propose their own project based on their personal interests. Examples of projects and events are concerts, movie nights, silkscreening workshops, photo and video courses, clothes swap events, communal cooking, repair cafe, intercultural evenings for local young people and a summer festival with Klimatak (on topics environment and politics). https://m24-deinjugendklub.de/ instagram: @m24_jugendklub
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Local transport: the volunteer will receive a monthly ticket for public transportation in Berlin. Accommodation and food: the volunteer will share a flat in Berlin with other volunteers. They will have their own room but share common areas. Money for food will be provided on a monthly basis (9,00€/day). Pocket money: will be provided on a monthly basis (6,00€/day).
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
The volunteer is going to receive support and information before the start of their service. In Germany, they are going to participate in mandatory seminars. This way we are ensuring that the volunteers are going to be able to make the most of their time and have the chance for rapid personal development. At the youth center, the volunteer is going to be assigned a mentor to help. Another mentor, working for the VJF, is helping out with bureaucratic processes and issues that may be occurring in the working environment.
Profil sudionika
You should speak either German or English with fluency, since it is necessary to guarantee communication with the team. A minimum B1 level of German is desired. Working at M24 requires digital competences, teamwork spirit as well as the ability to work independently. M24 welcomes motivated, flexible, friendly and curious volunteers that are willing to learn new things related with the sociocultural and youth field. Gender, nationality, religion, political and sexual orientation are not considered in the selection. The volunteer is chosen regarding skills, experiences, interests and motivation.
