Activities under ‘Solidarity with Cultural Heritage’ are to be carried out in the Heritage Department of the City Council of Alzira (based in the Municipal Museum of Alzira - MUMA). The project aims to promote rich cultural and historical heritage of the city of Alzira, including traditions related to Fallas festivities recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. We also hope that the project will raise awareness of the common European cultural heritage in our community. The volunteer will have an active role in the implementation of various cultural projects and will support the MUMA with everyday tasks (in communication, heritage preservation, preparation of materials and collections, language assistance, etc.). They will also have a platform for forging strong cultural awareness and getting the first-hand experience in conservation.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The accommodation is covered by the coordinating organization. The volunteer will share a fully-equipped flat with other participants and will have their own bedroom. The volunteer receives a fixed amount of a monthly support allowance and pocket money (180 and 180 Euros).
Wat leer je?
The volunteer’s sending organization will share more information on the European Solidarity Corps programme. The volunteer will also participate in the on-arrival and mid-term trainings by the Spanish National Agency. In addition, the participant will have the opportunity to take Spanish classes 3 hours per week.
Wie zoeken we?
We are looking for outgoing young people between 18 to 30 years old who are interested in the field of youth, European values and policies. Applicants who demonstrate strong motivation will be invited for an interview. As an applicant, you should not have taken part in other European Solidarity Corps activities longer than 2 months. Also, as the activities are taking place in the international environment it is recommended to be able to communicate in English.
