Apraksts
During 5 months, the volunteer will work in the educational intercultural centre ‘Alveare’- a youth centre for Italian and foreign children and youngsters, at «Locanda di Maria», a project of a soup kitchen: a place in which volunteers, young people and people suffering for any social exclusion can work towards a new food and reuse culture to promote social inclusion and international solidarity. In addition, they will support the Youth Department with school meetings in which they promote European opportunities for young people. The volunteer will implement the co-working space in the city centre – ‘TRAME’ - with an info point about volunteering experience and activities for young and elderly (like an English and Creative lab). In addition to this, the group of volunteers will implement the IG account dedicated to the ESC experience in Agrigento and a podcast about youth participation in social life (first experience).
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The cost of room and Food‘s allowance - 160 euros - is covered by the host organisation. In addition, every month the volunteer will receive pocket money (about 180 euros – 6 euros per day) for the additional personal buy. The cost of the trip (round-trip ticket) is covered for a maximum of 275 euros. A complimentary insurance is provided to each volunteer (Henner company). Volunteers will stay in a private flat located in the same building as the offices and part of the activities of the Foundation, composed of three double rooms to share.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
Volunteers will receive pre-departure training provided by the supporting organisation. Upon arrival, the volunteers will attend the Mondoaltro Foundation on-arrival training and specific training about every activity. In addition, the Mondoaltro Foundation will provide Italian classes (60 hours) in addition to the opportunity of OLS- On line linguistic support platform. Before his arrival, the volunteer is enrolled in the TEC (Training Evaluation Cycle) of the Italian National Agency which offers On-arrival Training and a Mid-term evaluation.
Dalībnieka profils
We are looking for ONE volunteer motivated to live a non-formal and intercultural experience abroad. HE/SHE should be motivated to work with children and youngsters, and interested in intercultural issues and social inclusion. HE/SHE should share their skills with motivation, enterprising spirit, and creativity. HE/SHE should be interested in starting a learning process and sharing their experience with the other European volunteers and local young people. To implement project activities, it is important to respect everyone and valorise all the differences that can meet.
