Humanitarian volunteering in communication and training on sustainable land management, within a project carried out in environmental field and rural development, focused on strengthening the production and quality of beekeeping activities to develop sustainable economic initiatives, friendly to the forest and the environment in general. The volunteer will provide logistical, technical and practical support in the following activities: Management of communication, organisation of dissemination and promotion events and creation of content in social networks; Drafting of beekeeping manuals; Mapping work to identify beekeepers and creation of a honey library; Reforestation activities; Training workshops on sustainable land management and beekeeping issues; Project report writing, data collection and analysis. The operational headquarters is the ASPEm Bolivia office in Cochabamba; the project is developed in the department of Chuquisaca and Cochabamba.

Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports

Accommodation will be in the northern part of Cochabamba, the safest area with the best access to services (supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, recreational areas, etc.). It will include electricity, water, gas, internet, common areas (living room and kitchen), and individual rooms with keys. In Cochabamba, there is a wide variety of affordable and healthy food (fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products). Supermarkets offer everything necessary. Public transportation is varied and efficient, with lines passing through the volunteer's workplaces.

Mācības pasākuma laikā

The volunteer will participate in formal and non-formal training moments, before departure and during the volunteering experience. They will learn the dynamics of cooperation and humanitarian aid, learning to work closely with local communities and beneficiaries. They will improve the organisation, planning, monitoring and evaluation skills. They will strengthen communication and content creation, listening, dialogue and intercultural approach skills. Language skills will improve. All competences will be certified through Youth Pass.

Dalībnieka profils

A person with experience in communication and knowledge of environmental issues. Preferable requirements: Degree in communication or related volunteering or work experience; Degree in agronomy or related volunteering or work experience; Knowledge or experience in international cooperation and in the field of beekeeping; Ability to manage public social pages (FB, IG, TikTok); previous experience in international volunteering; open attitude, empathy, ability to adapt to new contexts and unforeseen situations, ability to work in a team, leadership and conflict resolution skills, willing spirit.
