Humanitarian volunteering in environmental field and rural development, focused on strengthening the production and quality of beekeeping activities to develop sustainable economic initiatives, friendly to the forest and the environment in general. The volunteer will provide logistical, technical and practical support in these activities: Drafting and implementation of business plans and marketing plan for beekeeping products; Creation of informative and promotional material (honey recipe book, beekeeping products brochure...); Organisation of consumer awareness-raising events (tastings, gastronomic events, others); Organisation and coordination of awareness raising events on project results and local and national fairs; Organisation and coordination of awareness raising events in the schools; Drafting of reports, data collection and analysis. The operational headquarters is ASPEm Bolivia's office in Cochabamba; the project is developed in the departments of Chuquisaca and Cochabamba.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Accommodation will be in the northern part of Cochabamba, the safest area with the best access to services (supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals, recreational areas, etc.). It will include electricity, water, gas, internet, common areas (living room and kitchen), and individual rooms with keys. In Cochabamba, there is a wide variety of affordable and healthy food (fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy products). Supermarkets offer everything necessary. Public transportation is varied and efficient, with lines passing through the volunteer's workplaces.
Wat leer je?
The volunteer will participate in formal and non-formal training moments, before departure and during the volunteering experience. They will learn the dynamics of cooperation and humanitarian aid, learning to work closely with local communities. They will enhance organisation, planning, monitoring and evaluation skills. They will strengthen their context and risk analysis capabilities and the ability to formulate proposals. They will strengthen listening, dialogue and intercultural approach skills. They will improve language skills. All the competencies will be certified through Youth Pass.
Wie zoeken we?
Marketing and commercialisation expert, with work or volunteering experience in procurement, knowledge or experience in beekeeping, international volunteering experience, open-minded, with empathetic attitude, ability to adapt to new contexts and unforeseen situations, ability to work in a team, conflict resolution skills, willing spirit. Other preferable requirements: Degree in economics or marketing or related volunteering or work experience; Degree in environmental engineering or agronomy or related volunteering or work experience; Knowledge or experience in international cooperation.
