The National Education will host one volunteer from September 2025 to August 2026 in 3 schools in the small villages of Mosnay, Tendu and Bouesse. They host pupils from 3 to 11 years old and provide a bilingual environment. They want to encourage children to be interested in languages and other cultures. The volunteer will be alone in the school but he will stay with another volunteer in the flat. Tasks for the volunteers : - co-working with the teachers on small groups of pupils in a learning situation (writing workshop, manipulation in mathematics, in French) in French and sometimes in English - participating in the organisation of the class (individual follow-up), - building learning situations with the teacher in French and English language, in Civic Education in Europe, in sport or art, according to the affinities of the volunteer, for exchanges around the countries of origin, - participating in welcome and daily life times, preparing material for the classes
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Apartment in Argenton-sur-Creuse city center (5000 inhabitants) with another volunteer who will be in a theatre company. You will have your own room but share kitchen and bathroom with the other volunteer. You will have a car to go to school, because we are situated in a rural area where there is no public transport. Driving licence is required. You will receive pocket money for leisure and food.
Formazione durante l'attività
Once a month : the two volunteers will spend a half day together to speak about the mission, the difficulties or needs, or learn about a subject, depends on the needs of the volunteers ! The volunteers will take part in the welcome and mid-term training organised by the National Agency. The volunteers also will take part in the training for the national civil services (2 days). They will have the possibility to train according to their needs and their willings
Profilo del partecipante
Volunteer should be motivated for working with kids between 3 and 11 years old. They should be interested in the fields related to education and willing to share their cultures and languages. They must have a driving licence. Applicants should be aware that Argenton-sur-Creuse is situated in a very rural area. Coming from a rural area or liking nature and rural way of life would be helpful. There is a direct train to connect to Paris (3h) A basic level of French or English would be appreciated and helpful.
