Do you like organizing and managing? Do you like being surrounded by young people&musicians? BJMK is a youth centre and music school and we search for our next volunteer! In this project a volunteer has to become one of our team members and help us organize our daily work with children,youngsters and families. It includes some late office hours office (also late 17.00-21.00) when you would be responsible for everything that is going on inside the building, but also there is a space for creativity: like being involved in organizing events, some project management, creating visual materials, videos for social media, managing IT problems, organizing sound equipment, learning to play an instrument or even organizing your own workshop. It does not mean that you have to do it all, but you should have interest at least in part of the topics. In our organization we let people develop their strengths (and improve their weaknesses) and we will appreciate your help.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer will be accommodated in the same youth-centre building, in a small 1-roomed private appartement with a private/separate entrance. There is a small kitchen, private bathroom with a shower. There is hot/cold water, heating, wi-fi. Everything is small, but meets all the basic needs .Therefor you will not need to use the towns transport. The youth-centre itsself is located in the central part of the town, but has a silent green area around it. The organization provides the money for food- you can cook or order lunch.
Wat leer je?
During the activity there will be on-arrival and mid-term training provided by National Agency. In daily life you will receive task related support from our team, as well as mentoring to track your learning outcomes and progress, as well as to support you personally. Depending on what tasks you will carry out, you may learn about sound-equipment, music, organizing events, managing different situation. Additionally/possibly- working with social media, visual materials, learning to play an instrument, leading a work-shop.
Wie zoeken we?
We are searching for a participant from EU, 18-30 years old, who wants to spend 10 months in a Northen country (which may mean snow in winter, but also shorter and darker days in the cold season.) You should be interested to work with people and enjoy some kind of organizational work (wether it is some paper work or keeping the inventory in place, or- really organizing some events with us!) All of this needs one certain ability - being able to plan and to things step by step. Are you a doer who is ready to be flexible and be a team player? To fully enjoy the project, additionally you should be interested at least in one of the topics: sound equipment and music instruments OR social media & IT (it can be both!) The working time would be afternoons and evenings, weekdays: 15.00-21.00.
