We're looking for 4 creative young people to join our volunteer team at two of Žilina's cultural centers! If you're passionate about arts and culture, we have exciting opportunities for you. We're looking for an event photographer, a tech assistant, a social media manager or a graphic designer to help us grow our events and local community. Join the team at Stanica Žilina-Záriečie, an iconic venue transformed from an old train station into a vibrant hub for concerts, theater, workshops, festivals, exhibitions and more. We also run Nová synagóga, a stunning historical building designed by Peter Behrens, now one of the most exciting art spaces in Slovakia. Both cultural venues are run by the NGO called Truc sphérique that was found by young art students 25 years ago. Our team is dynamic and includes former volunteers from around the world. Be part of something bigger—help shape the cultural scene in Žilina and beyond!
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Volunteers live together in a shared house in the city center, approximately 5-minute walk from both cultural centers. Each volunteer has their own private room, while the kitchen, bathroom, and toilet are shared. We fully cover accommodation and transport to the volunteering site. Every volunteer receives €180 for food and €180 as pocket money monthly. Since both cultural centers are nearby, volunteers usually get around on foot, but we can also help arrange a bike if needed.
Wat leer je?
Each volunteer has a specific main position in which they can grow and gain new experiences under the guidance of professionals. We are looking for a: Photographer, technical assistant and someone to help with social networks or graphic design. At the same time, all volunteers gain experience with the entire operation of both cultural centers, they actively participate in team meetings, help in the preparation and implementation of our events, and are also expected to develop their own ideas /cultural project in order to contribute to the activities and development of the local community
Wie zoeken we?
We’re looking for young people aged 18 to 30 who are passionate about art and culture, who open to learn new things, and have a creative mindset. Ideal candidates should be responsible and flexible as each week brings a different schedule with various cultural events. The volunteering period is from 10 to 12 months and our volunteers must be able to communicate in English. For the photography and tech support positions, some prior experience is preferred but not required—you don’t need to be a professional. Most importantly, we value tolerance and openness to different cultures.
