URGENT- Voluteer with children and alternative education at École Créative

Beschrijving
The association’s purpose is really to broadcast a creative and open minded parentality, but also to propose an alternative to classical education, opened to the world and respectful to our environnement. We have an educationnal approach based on different pedagogies: Montessori, Freinet, Steiner, pedagogy of projects and pedagogy by the nature. We also use some innovative tools like non violent communication, cooperation, emotions management…. The opening vision on the world is one of our pedagogic project’s pilar. We follow some interesting adventurer’s project to discover the world and to approach different kind of subjects like the environment, the animals, the ocean’s pollution… We love practicing foreign languages used in rituals context and discover others cultures and countries, songs, movies, cooking… We also go to the forest every friday morning to discover and learn with nature.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Since the school is located in a small village in the rural area, accomodation is not always easy, but always comfortable! From september and october, volunteers will have a seperate apartment in the house of a family of the school (walking distance). From november to april, in the village of Capvern there is a gîte with a livingroom/kitchen downstairs and upstairs a bathroom,a shared bedroom and very very kind owners that live just next to it. For the warmer months, there is a camping in Capvern where it’s possible to rent a two bedroom chalet. We also provide each volunteer with a bike!
Wat leer je?
Discover and learn about alternative methods for children education. Understand how work a school and how the daily life has to be organised. Learn how to create workshop with children know better how to put the child at the center of the educational project. Wie zoeken we?
We are looking for 1 more volunteer to join the team, who is eager to learn more about alternative education and do activities with children. Some experience or knowledge in animation and an interest in the school environment and working with Children with alternative methods of education is suggested! Be ready for teamwork, a certain autonomy and an ability to adapt, and non violent communication - not to be afraid of the rural environment!
