Are you passionate about empowering children, supporting local communities, and protecting the environment? This 6-month volunteer opportunity invites young people aged 18-35 to join CIVS Kenya, an organization dedicated to the socio-economic upliftment of disadvantaged communities, fighting poverty, and promoting social inclusion. Volunteers' commitment will be 30 hours a week, engaging in impactful projects like: - Teaching basic subjects (English, drawing, creative arts) and organizing recreational activities for children. - Assisting in providing nutritious meals. - Leading IT courses to boost youth skills and employability. - Delivering capacity-building workshops on environmental conservation and sustainable farming. - Contributing to agricultural work at the center’s farm.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Volunteers will be housed in the Ahero Resource Center. There will be separate female and male rooms to be shared. Meals will be prepared by cooks with the help of volunteers. To support your journey, you’ll receive a daily allowance of €32 to cover personal expenses such as flights, Visa fees, and vaccinations. Other costs, such as airport pick up upon arrival & drop off, three daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and accommodation will be covered.

Before your mobility begins, you’ll take part in an online training session to prepare you for what lies ahead. Once you arrive, you’ll receive hands-on, face-to-face training, covering everything from your daily activities to life in the local community, to ensure you’re fully equipped to make the most of your experience. Your European support organization, IBO Italia, will be there every step of the way, ensuring you feel confident and supported on your journey.
