Project takes place in Ankkapurha Youth Centre in Kouvola, Finland. Volunteers will work as a part of Youth Centre staff and main tasks are to fix some activity places near by park and forest of Youth Centre, and organize together with Youth Centre staff a spring event for local families and youngsters at the area of Youth Centre. Work does not require former experience of mentioned tasks but open mind and will to try and learn new things and skills are highly respected. Volunteers will have a chance to share about their own culture while learning about the Finnish culture. The staff of Ankkapurha will always work beside the volunteers and help when needed. The working hours are between 6-8 hours/ day and 5 days/ week. Among working the staff of Youth Centre arranges activities for the end of the working days and also for free time if needed based on wishes of volunteers. Youth Centre is surrounded by park and forest area with riverside about 130km from Helsinki.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Accommodation is arranged in Youth Centre hostel which includes basic rooms to sleep, shared living room, bathroom and kitchen. Game room, sauna, a hut, bicycles and sport hall of Youth Centre can be used free on agreed times. Accommodation is booked only for volunteers. One free meal is included for every workday. The work happens mainly at surroundings of Youth Centre. At time to move somewhere Youth Centre will provide train tickets. For moving from airport and back while travelling to and from Finland Ankkapurha Youth Centre staff will help to find the best options for transport.
Formazione durante l'attività
Arrival training will be included for first volunteering days.
