The Oasi LIPU Massaciuccoli prioritises environmental education and community engagement. By hosting school groups on-site and visiting local schools, the Oasis team fosters awareness of regional biodiversity and conservation issues. They also work to engage local residents in sustainability efforts and raise awareness about local environmental challenges. Despite limited financial resources, they also contribute to essential environmental management, addressing conservation and biodiversity concerns for the local ecosystem. Main activites will include: support in monitoring bird populations; maintenance of natural areas to preserve biodiversity; environmental education at the oasis and local schools; event organisation; community management: preparing meals, cleaning rooms, and maintaining shared spaces.

The oasis is located in Massaciuccoli, a small town located in the municipality of Massarosa, halfway between Viareggio, Lucca, and Pisa. Volunteers will stay in guesthouse with double/triple/quadruple rooms shared among volunteers. The volunteers will receive pocket money of 6€ per day. The food will be provided by the hosting organization. The volunteers will have the ingredients that are provided by the host organization to prepare the meals. Alcohol, suites, and personal items will not be paid by the hosting organization.

Volunteers will participate in the On Arrival Training organized by the Italian National Agency. Associazione, Joint, the coordinating organization, will organize an on arrival training with the volunteers and the coordinator of LIPU.
