The Hostel Parco Monte Barro is an eco-hostel with environmentally sustainable values and parameters. It is located in the middle of Monte Barro Regional Park, situated at 750m above sea level.The group will be divided in two smaller groups, and every group will have the chance to do all activities. We will do some indoor and outdoor activities. The first category includes, creative recycling, upcycling, maintenance and development of the space of the hostel; the second one the participation to the safeguard of a colony of TOADS that lives nearby. The organisation will host workshops on different topics.
Szállás, étkezés és utazás
Pocket money: 17€ per day (the traveling expenses are included in this total sum - please, save all your tickets and boarding passes). Accommodation: will be provided inside the hostel managed by the organisation, inside a triple/quadruple rooms shared with other volunteers. Food: ONLY VEGETARIAN lunch and dinner will be provided, extra food will be bought by volunteer on their cost.
Képzés a tevékenység során
On arrival training: first 7 days - organized by the coordinating organization Associazione Joint. Mid-term evaluation filling a form. Final evaluation with Youhpass Certificate and Glore Certificate - 2 days.
Résztvevői profil
MUST be resident /citizen of an EU country (included Italy). Available for the whole period of the project (10/03/25 - 10/04/25). Has a great love or experience in biology / animals / environment / OR unemployed more than a year / from rural areas / disadvantaged economic situation. The volunteer should love open-air activities and animals like TOADS; team player; ready to contact with the public; be proactive, have organisational and presentation skills, ready to do manual work and get hands dirty; is a curious person, open minded, creative, ready to work with young people and hostel guests.
