We are looking for one volunteer, who has not yet taken part in ESC Individual Humanitarian aid Volunteering, who will join our mission in Burundi! You will support the program team in communicating the project activities focusing on improving the health, nutrition, access to water and livelihood of vulnerable children and their family, by developing communication tools used for awareness raising activities and for fundraising, producing audiovisual and photographic material, among others.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The Host organization will cover the accommodation costs and utility bills and you will be provided with free Wi-fi, a local sim card and a laptop. You will receive pocket money for your personal expenses, including food and local transport. Travel costs from your home country to the country of deployment will be covered by WeWorld. Insurance (Henner) will be activated for the whole duration of your deployment.
Formazione durante l'attività
You will attend an online pre-departure induction on WeWorld’s work and policies, technical and thematic aspects of humanitarian aid, Safety&Security, mentoring, and practical arrangements (visa, insurance, etc). Once in the country, you will participate in an induction on the Host organization and your role during the deployment. We encourage you to participate in training opportunities during your deployment, online or organized by our national and international partners; you will have a small budget for external courses and you will have access to WeWorld's e-learning platform.
Profilo del partecipante
We look for a motivated person, who has not yet taken part in ESC Individual Humanitarian aid Volunteering, with basic knowledge of French, ready to socialize and experience a different culture, able to adapt and work in a team for a period of 6 months. Are you interested in communication and international cooperation? You will be supported by a line manager and a mentor that will follow up on your volunteering experience. If you face economic or other types of barriers in accessing services, employment, education and training opportunities, or live in remote areas, don´t hesitate to sign up!
