The main objective of the project is to offer opportunities to Roma or non-Roma young people who want to commit to building an inclusive society that respects dignity and human rights. Through action they will become engines of a shift towards a plural, egalitarian, solidal and responsible society. The main objectives of the project are the following: -Promote cooperation and mutual understanding between Roma and non-Roma youth to enrich the social fabric with a new way of living together. - Promote the values of respect, solidarity, freedom of being and thinking, justice and equality for all. - Overcome discrimination based on ethnicity, sex, gender, religious or political opinions and promote intercultural dialogue, particularly between the Roma population of Barcelona and the other populations present in the territory. - Recover and publicize the local Roma history and culture and Roma history and culture of Europe, both among the Roma and non-Roma community.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The two volunteers will live in an apartment in the Gothic neighborhood of Barcelona. Located on the upper floor of the organization, there will be a shared room for 2 people. Eequipped with everything you need, you are also provided with new bedding and toiletries (sheets, duvets, pillows and towels).The rental of the room and all supplies (water, electricity, internet) are the responsibility of the host NGO, but you could be penalized for not making responsible use of them. The organization provides monthly financial support in the form of pocket money and food allowance for a total of 270 €
Mācības pasākuma laikā
During the project the organization will provide training in Spanish and Catalan if the voluntary is willing to learn it. We also will provide trainig in human rights, Roma culture and history.
Dalībnieka profils
Fluency in spoken and written Spanish, good level of English. Experience in communication, media, graphic design and web promotion. Dynamic, creative, proactive attitude to work as a team, motivated by the project and committed. You will develop your skills in the area of communication, supporting the NGO in various activities such as: conferences, exhibitions, festivals, drafting projects and other local actions. Priority for people with fewer opportunities and with some previous experience.
