In a beautiful village in the north of the Plateau des Mille Étangs, the residents are excited to welcome their third international workcamp, which will focus on the renovation of a wall in the heart of the historic streets. Their commitment is sincere, and they enjoy sharing their time with volunteers from all over the world through various activities, helping them discover the region in all its aspects. These interactions are set to be enriching, fostering cultural exchange and a unique sharing of experiences. A wonderful collective adventure awaits! This initiative is part of global efforts to create "sustainable cities and communities," an essential UN goal.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
In the heart of this charming village in Haute-Saône, there is a boundary wall that surrounds a public building. In many places, the joints are badly damaged, or even non-existent. The current appearance is unappealing, and the loose stones pose a risk to passersby. The local community would like to restore and secure this built heritage, which is located in a high-traffic area. Your task will be to restore and standardize the wall through specific steps, working approximately 6 hours per day. You will learn traditional masonry techniques.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
You will be accommodated in a mixed-gender shared space in a large municipal building reserved for your group (maximum 14 people). Two rooms will serve as dormitories where you will sleep on camp beds. You only need to bring your sleeping bag and pillow. The place is equipped with a kitchen. Showers will be taken at the gymnasium of the village. A washing machine will also be available. Free Wi-Fi is available at the local tourist office, which is adjacent to your accommodation. The worksite is just a few steps away, located across the street.
