CPMGA is an institution that has been working for 40 years in the city of El Alto. Our mission is to achieve a more inclusive and equitable society for women, with institutional work that seeks a return to the land, fight for women's rights, democracy and from a non-hegemonic feminist perspective, oriented towards joint construction and with a wide openness to women's dialogues. Part of our work includes providing services for women who are victim of violence. Our work requires emotional support and containment, psychological care for young and adult women who have been victim of violence as well as supporting youth regarding sexuality, preventing violent relationships and masculinities. It will be important for the institution to contribute to group containment and the generation of women's solidarity communities.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
For security reasons and to guarantee access to transportation, food, health and other services, markets and supermarkets, it has been determined that the accommodation will be located in a safe central area of the city of La Paz, either in Sopocachi or Miraflores. Transport from these areas to the CPMGA offices takes 1 hour by minibus (public transport) or by cable car. Food can be provided in either restaurants or the volunteer will have access to markets and supermarkets to prepare their own food.
Wat leer je?
- During the volunteering period, the volunteer will be able to receive support and advice for psychological assistance in cases of violence against women from low-income backgrounds. - Develop knowledge about therapeutic care processes for women who have experienced violence. - Receive guidance to train young people in processes of emotional containment. - Learn from the development of workshops with young people and women from the cities of El Alto, Viacha, Pucarini, La Paz and Achocalla. - Participate in mobilization actions, art and activism.
Wie zoeken we?
Professional in psychology specialised in cases of violence against women, with experience in counselling and psychotherapy from a systemic approach: emotional support and sensitivity to gender issues, human rights, and sexual and reproductive rights. All activities will implement a feminist approach. Activities: - Guidance and assistance in cases of violence against women in the CPMGA office or virtually. - Elaborate recordings of statistics, psychological indicators and follow-up of cases. - Design a methodological strategy on the management of emotional support groups and systemise them in an intervention model. - Conduct self-reflection and support workshops for different groups of CPMGA women. - Conduct selfcare workshops, dance or other activities for the women who participate at the CPMGA. - Participate in mobilisation, art and activism activities.
