Socijalna Sinergija d.o.o. is a social enterprise for professional rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities, founded by Caritas Šabac. For over 20 years, Caritas Šabac has combined social protection services and social entrepreneurship, creating sustainable employment opportunities for marginalized groups. The Support Worker will play a key role in assisting employees with disabilities in their daily work tasks within the dry cleaning and laundry service. Responsibilities include: Providing on-the-job support and guidance to employees with disabilities. - Assisting with sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding laundry. - Ensuring proper handling of fabrics and adherence to dry cleaning procedures. - Helping to organize the workspace and ensuring that all necessary equipment and materials are available. - Maintaining cleanliness and safety standards within the laundry facility. - Encouraging employees to develop independence and confidence in their work.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer will be provided with an apartment where they can look after themselves. In Sabac itself, volunteers will find everything they need for their daily lives.
Wat leer je?
The volunteers receive appropriate training in all relevant tasks and are supported by the local team.
Wie zoeken we?
• Knowledge of English (mandatory). • Knowledge of BHS languages (Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian) is an advantage. • Experience in laundry, dry cleaning, or a similar service role (preferred). • Empathy, patience, and a strong sense of social responsibility. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to follow procedures and handle cleaning products safely. • A proactive and adaptable attitude towards daily challenges.
