ADRA Albania is operating since 1990 with projects in emergency support and education in different areas of Albania with Albanian and Roma communities. NGO is part of the International Network of ADRA organizations that is composed of 130 NGOs around the world. The volunteer will: - Assist the organization by developing its institutional goals and objectives; - Assess the strengths and skills of existing staff to support a capital project and developing a strategy for procuring needed skills and experience through team building; - Provide expertise in project writing: EU projects, other donors - Provide assistance in fund raising for projects with Roma/Egyptian communities. - Provide experience in development of organization program and vision - Design and plan next interventions after assessing the potentials of the organization. - Provide capacity building in project management - Assist project teams in field with activities in community centres with children
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The volunteer will keep contact (via online) with its mentor for discussing and agreeing on the terms and criteria of the accommodation prior to the volunteer’ arrival. The volunteer’s residence will be located near ADRA Albania compound. The apartment will be a flat with a sleeping lockable room, kitchen, and restroom in. The volunteer will have its desk and workspace at ADRA Albania and will be required to work from Monday to Thursdays (09:00-17:00) and Fridays (09:00-12:30).
Formazione durante l'attività
This opportunity is part of BRIDGE project (Building Resilience, Innovation, Development and Gender Equality), in which volunteers will have the opportunity to work on a common objective: empowerment and skills development of vulnerable communities, with a focus on women groups and enhance digital skills, participante in UN Woman Summits and animating digital workshops. More: - Albanian language course; - participation in relevant professional development events (including online opportunities); - participate in learning days (on cultural, professional, personal development topics).
Profilo del partecipante
Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months. Appreciated competencies of the volunteer are: • Organizational development capacities • Good writing and speaking skills in English, especially in proposals and report writing • Capacities in proposal writing • Experience in fund raising (small and médium scale) • Abilities to work and cooperate in a diverse working environment • Knowledge of Microsoft package • Desire and willingness to combine office work with field work (the volunteer will need to visit the communities ADRA works with to understand the dynamics of work better) • Be flexible and adaptive to the work schedule
