Terzo Millennio - Laboratorio di Umana Solidarietà APS

Castri di Lecce, Italia

Descrizione

You will take part in inspiring community and intercultural activities in Melendugno and Castri di Lecce, working at our intercultural centre and engaging directly with local residents, refugees and asylum seekers. You will support recreational, cultural and educational activities for children and young people, including games, creative and handicraft workshops, sports, language activities, exhibitions, concerts and outdoor experiences. You will actively participate in workshops, conferences, awareness raising campaigns and thematic events focused on intercultural dialogue, anti racism and human rights, as World Refugee Day. You can also contribute to communication activities through the creation of digital and social media content, helping to promote innovative and attractive communication strategies or support our team in project management activities related to Erasmus+ and human rights projects, gaining hands on experience in an international and inclusive environment

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

You will live in a shared flat together with other volunteers, in the city of Melendugno. The flat has a full equipped kitchen, so the volunteers can prepare their meals by themselves. You will receive a monthly allowance for food. All places where the project activities will take place are within walking distance. The same applies to supermarkets, pharmacies and shops. Should further distances be necessary, Terzo Millennio will organise transports accordingly. Volunteers will be provided with a bike.

Formazione durante l'attività

Volunteers will participate in a orientation and welcome training during the first week of the project in order to get to know the association, the territory, and to familiarise themselves with the staff and other volunteers. They will also receive specific on-the-spot and practical training on the activities they will carry out, in order to master the tools and instruments used, and also to be able to propose new ideas at the same time. Finally, volunteers will attend Italian language courses in order to be able to interact more easily in the local context and during the activities.

Profilo del partecipante

Volunteers do not need to have any specific skills or diploma to join us, but be interested in the topics and activities of the project. Although not mandatory, a basic knowledge of the Italian language or communication skills will be positively evaluated We expect active and motivated volunteers who enjoy working with children, young people and who like contact with people.
