Founded in 1985, Diapason Cooperative operates multiple centers focused on creating positive change for disabled individuals, elderly adults, and highly vulnerable people through socialization and inclusion. The team includes educators, psychologists, tutors, and coordinators, all eager to share key insights into social work with ESC volunteers. Goals for ESC volunteers: work collaboratively in a team and Develop organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills; foster integration of diverse perspectives. Your Tasks: ✅ Organize workshops & activities (games, movie nights, cooking, etc.) ✅ Support outdoor activities in parks and community spaces ✅ Deliver groceries or collect essential items for families in need 📅 Note: The center will be closed in August, and volunteers will have vacation during this period.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
As a volunteer, you’ll have activities in Milan and you will stay in Monza in a shared space. It is placed in the same building as the community shelter for minors, another project of Diapason. You'll have your own private room and bathroom. The living room and kitchen will be shared with community residents, offering a chance to connect and immerse yourself in daily life. To ensure your comfort, the hosting organization provides three meals a day. You’ll also receive €6 per day as pocket money (paid monthly). Travel expenses will be reimbursed according to European Commission guidelines.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
Volunteer will participate in the On Arrival Training organized by the Italian National Agency. Also, the coordinating organization No Borders, will organize training with the volunteer.
Profil sudionika
📆 Availability: May – December 2025 (paid vacation in August). ✔️ Motivated to learn Italian and engage with the local community. ✔️ Ready to work with disabled individuals & elderly adults. ✔️ Huge plus educational background in socio-pedagogical, psycho-pedagogical, social work, or related fields is a plus. ✔️ Patient, kind, polite, tolerant, and a good listener. ✔️ Strong teamwork skills and willingness to collaborate. ✔️ Good English proficiency; basic Italian is a big plus. ✔️ Open to living in a community center. 📢 Send your CV & Motivation Letter in ENGLISH!
