“SkillALB: digital, professional and entrepreneurial skills programme for Albanian youth employment” is co-funded by AICS (Italian Agency for Development cooperation) and implemented by ENGIM. It aims to encourage long-lasting and inclusive economic growth, based on full and productive employment for young Albanians, who, thanks to the project, improve their employability. The project reaches around 4,800 young people aged 13 to 35 from 5 schools and 2 vocational training centres in 5 regions of Albania. Main responsibilities and tasks of the volunteer: Conduct a needs assessment of the beneficiary schools and training centers regarding teacher training and infrastructure interventions Gather information on best practices for training internships Define models and processes for collecting data on educational and employment impacts Prepare the project communication guidelines Support the identification and mentoring of Italian experts for the training of Albanian teachers
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Volunteers will be accommodated in a shared apartment with other expats. Electricity, cold and hot water (not potable), internet, equipped kitchen and washing machine available in the apartment. A monthly subsistence allowance of 800€ will be provided to cover basic needs, food and local transport. Flexible working hours and a combination of on-site and remote work may be available, depending on the autonomy of the volunteer and the schedule of activities.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
Pre-departure training on organization values, security and program-specific knowledge. On-site training on M&V and administrative procedures. Access to training resources for continuous learning. The volunteer will receive briefings/training with different departments related to the mission and the position.
Profil sudionika
Education & Training: Degree in political science, sociology, statistics, community development, law and human rights. Additional training in project management, development cooperation and logistics is desirable. Skills & Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in diverse and complex environments. Organizational and problem-solving skills. Autonomy and ability to prioritize tasks. Language & Technical Skills: Proficiency in English B2. Intermediate knowledge of Google Suite (Document and Sheets). Candidates must be 18 to 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member State, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Turkey), have completed the compulsory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training and not have participated before in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering. When adding together this new volunteering opportunity and any previous participation in EU volunteering programmes, the total duration cannot exceed 12 months.
