Opis

CPMGA is an institution that has been working for 40 years in the town of El Alto. We aspire to reach a more inclusive and equal society for women, where people return to their land, fight for women’s rights and democracy. All actions are taken from a non-hegemonic feminist perspective, oriented towards co-construction and wide openness to women's dialogues. Our work focuses on providing services for women who are victims of violence. It requires emotional support and containment, psychological care for adult and young women who have been victims of violence, as well as counselling for young people regarding sexuality, prevention of violent relationships and masculinities. It will be very important for the institution to contribute to group containment and the generation of women's sorority communities.

Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz

For security reasons and ease of access to transport, food, health and other services, markets and supermarkets, it has been determined that the accommodation should be located in a safe and central area of the city of La Paz, which could be Sopocachi or Miraflores. These areas are located an hour away from the CPMGA offices and the journey can be made by minibus (public transport) or by cable car. Restaurants, markets and supermarkets will provide food for the volunteer.

Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti

- You will receive support and will be guided on learnings regarding diverse topics such as gender and feminism (political participation of women, activism, financial autonomy and prevention of violence) - You will learn about the organization of activities and events related to the participation of women in different spaces. - You will be guided on how to train women on participative methodologies based on the principles of general education - You will participate in the reflection processes for the construction of common knowledge.

Profil sudionika

- Professional in social fields related to the work with vulnerable groups and women, who is keen on participating in activities on the field with the logistical organisation and facilitator as well as doing follow-ups of women with who CPMGA works. The volunteer will need to follow the gender and feminist perspective. Activities to be carried out: - Logistical and coordination support in the activities carried on the field specifically for women who participate in the centre in different municipalities. - Follow-up and monitoring of actions concerning groups of women - Support in the elaboration of project reports and in the preparation of source verification. - Organise spaces for self-care and awareness of women’s rights - Support in the various events carried out by the technical staff of CPMGA.
