La Maison des Européens is an NGO, labelled EUROPE DIRECT Lyon Metropole. It works with the public by providing information on the European Union, animating the European debate and advising citizens and project leaders in the Lyon Metropolitan Area. The mission is based in a big city in the South East of France and with easy access to mountains and rivers allowing to practice diverse outdoor activities. The main mission is to help the NGO with its daily activities and to accompany the team in animation activities in schools and other local and regional actors. The volunteer will have the opportunity to create new forms of workshops, to help create intergenerational relations, to organise events with other volunteers and to take part in organizing events like European Parliament simulations. Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
The volunteer will be hosted in a shared apartement with language assistants. The rent will be paid directly by the host structure and the volunteer will receive an allowance for food + pocket money (480€ / month) The volunteer will be provided with a transport card or a bike rental to move around Lyon. To enjoy the rail network they will also benefit from a train reduction card. The professional trips in the region will be covered as well.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
The volunteer will have access to a language learning platform that they can use during mission hours to advance in French. The tutor will provide initial training to familiarize the volunteer with digital and animation tools used to create workshops and communicate on events. Further training to learn the specifics of the tutor job could be organized on request. Two seminars (on arrival and mid-term) will be organized by the French National Agency to bring together ESC volunteers so that they can meet, exchange and learn together.
Profil sudionika
The ideal profile for this European Solidarity Corps volunteer post is that of a dynamic, creative person who is motivated by European commitment and who is available as soon as possible. You should not be afraid to speak in front of an audience and be able to adapt to different types of audience. Curious and able to put forward ideas, you should enjoy working in a team and contributing to a variety of projects, from events to raising awareness among the general public. It is important that you have knowledge of French (starting from B1) to facilitate exchanges and integration into the team :) Please note that only the candidates that are selected for an interview will be contacted !
