A field of inclusion possibilities

KINISI ETHELONTON SERVICE CIVIL INTERNATIONAL ELLAS

Athens, Grieķija

Apraksts

Volunteers will support activities around the Umoja-Enosi field, which hosts football teams of youth with immigrant background. Their tasks will focus on promoting inclusion in the community through football and other interactive initiatives. Volunteers will on one hand gather narratives from people connected to the field and use this material to create a video, with the help of a videographer, portraying the field's story. On the other hand they will lead sports and creative activities to encourage interaction beyond football, and also organize a "children's peace tournament," to demonstrate football’s ability to convey values like co-existence. Both teams will also accompany the youngsters on excursions, including museum visits and a trip to a large football stadium. In the end a public event will be organized featuring the video presentation, tournament awards, and additional activities reflecting the volunteers’ interests.
