Project Officer with Admin & Finance support in Senegal - Humanitarian Volunteer

Alianza por la Solidaridad, a member of ActionAid, works to promote active citizenship, fight inequalities, and advance human rights through development cooperation and education projects. We focus on gender-based violence, migrants' rights, and climate justice. Join us in Kolda as a Project Officer with Admin & Finance support! In this role, you’ll manage the overall project activities while also assisting the financial team with tasks like preparing project and office budgets, financial monitoring, and justifying activities. You’ll also handle relevant financial documents, contribute to financial reports, and support audits. This opportunity will provide hands-on experience in both project management and financial tasks within development cooperation and humanitarian aid, helping you develop skills that are essential for future work in the sector.

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

You will have the opportunity to live with other volunteers but with individual bedroom. The accommodation costs and utility bills will be covered by the organization andphone card will be provided. The house will be located in Kolda. You will receive a monthly allowance of 465,75€ for your personal expenses, including food and local transport. For the activities of Alianza, a vehicle will be provided. You will also be covered with a health insurance (Henner).

Wat leer je?

You will receive training which will cover topics such as: induction to Alianza por la Solidaridad, induction to the European Solidarity Corps, responsibilities and rights of the organisations and of the volunteer, Youthpass, Henner insurance and SHEA. In addition you will be trained more specifically in feminist leadership and rules on monitoring and financial justification. In the end of your volunteering, you will know how to work in a multidisciplinary team, both on the field and in the office, as well as the justification procedures of each Spanish funder and how to create budgets.

Wie zoeken we?

We are looking for a person eager to learn and work in a team and able to adapt to the context. Interest in developing skills in administration and finance. Motivation to be on the field to work closely between the implementation of activities and economic justification. Studies and any experience in economic monitoring, accounting, or administration, as well as French language skills, will be an asset. If you are migrant, live in rural areas, have limited economic support or any other don´t hesitate to sign up, this opportunity is for everyone!
