Buitenplaats Vaeshartelt is a historic estate in the south of the Netherlands, known for its 19th-century industrial and garden architecture. The estate with their beautiful gardens and surrounding landscapes, is dedicated to preserving its cultural and ecological heritage. Volunteers will assist in the maintenance and restoration of the gardens, working on tasks like pruning, weeding, and improving the garden’s overall appearance. They will also help with the upkeep of the surrounding green spaces and landscape management. As part of the conservation efforts, volunteers will engage in sustainable practices, such as composting and recycling organic waste. This hands-on experience offers an opportunity to learn about heritage preservation and sustainable gardening while contributing to the upkeep of a unique cultural landmark. Volunteers will also explore the surrounding nature and the region’s history, gaining valuable knowledge of local environmenal practices and heritage conservation
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
The accomodation is in camping Geuldal. Volunteers will stay in shared tipitents. At these locations sanitary facilities are present. Airbeds are available but you have to bring your own sleeping bag. The food will be provided by the Castle Vaeshartelt restaurant. There are opportunities to have dislocated bbq's.

Participants must enjoy nature and be interested in the geografical and historical details of the project. It is also important that you enjoy working together in teams and that you are interested in making international contacts.
