ACARBIO is a Non-Profit Organization from the small town of Tramonti on the rural area of the Amalfi Coast, working for the preservation of the local environment and local cultural heritage presented by the terraced landscape. We implement Youth projects, awareness raising activities, environmental and naturalistic activities, sustainable agricultural projects, outdoor education, and preservation of the terraced landscape. The OBJECTIVES include Landscape and patrimony protection of the terraced landscape; Rural development of Tramonti; and Promotion of sustainable development and solidarity by volunteers. The ACTIVITIES will include some of the following activities to support the local environment and do activities for the local community, such as Environmental clean-up’s; Cleaning hiking paths from vegetation; Doing artistic murals; Help local farmers; Renew public spaces; and Similar activities. Please mind that arrival and departure days will be 14/7 and 27/8.
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
Participants will be hosted in the kindergarten - school of Tramonti on the Amalfi Coast. Classes will be equipped with matrasses and camping beds. The facility includes bathrooms with toilets, 2 outdoor showers. Kitchen will be shared. A set of rules are established for the accommodation and we expect volunteers to respect them. Food will be provided by the association. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to the ESC guidelines. Travel budget can be slightly higher than for conventional travel (according to the ESC guide). Please contact us about this option.

Training will include workshops about sustainability and about communication activities.
Profilo del partecipante
For this project we are searching for motivated young people between 18-30yo, who have an interest to help local rural communities through volunteering and be in the nature and who are ok with sharing spaces in a public school transformed into a summer camp with 14 other people. No specific experience is required, anyone can bring their own contribution like artistic skills in decorating walls, photo/video making, social media, or just your high spirit and willingness to learn new things and live together with other young people from different cultures.
