La Maison de l'Europe, a civic and cultural organisation, is looking to recruit a volunteer to help promote European cultures, citizenship and educational activities linked to the European Union. What ? Prepare and run workshops on the European Union for a variety of audiences (children, schoolchildren, teenagers, students, volunteers, etc.). Presenting information about your country in a variety of ways. Promote mobility opportunities (travel abroad) through own experience. Organise festive European events to liven up the place. Majoitus, ateriat ja kuljetukset
The accommodation will be provided. A shhared house with other volunteer. Caution : The room will be shared with one other volunteer. A food/pocket money allowance and public transport are also included. The volunteer will have the opportunity to attend French classes once on site. The activity place will be at Europa Nantes, in the attractive neighborhood of l’Ile des Machines. He/She will have a space (computer, desk and furniture) with the members in an open space close to his/her mentor.

The National Agency organizes two mandatory training sessions. These two seminars are a way of tackling interculturality, communication and skills enhancement through non-formal education. The volunteer will also benefit from training on the European Union. Further training may be offered to the young person.

We seek a motivated, outgoing, and enthusiastic individual who shares our values, particularly valuing interculturality, intercognition, European citizenship, and solidarity. Experience working with children and teenagers is highly desirable. An additional asset would be a willingness to engage with diverse and sometimes skeptical audiences, both urban and rural, on European issues and mobility. If you have experience in independent travel or volunteering, we encourage you to highlight it.We are looking for someone who is open-minded, thrives in a team environment, and enjoys fostering cooperation. While a basic knowledge of French is appreciated, it is not required. Above all, we are searching for someone who demonstrates initiative, commitment, and a desire to contribute ideas within our association. We are passionate about projects and welcome individuals who share our enthusiasm! Applications are open until August 4.
