Volunteering in Rato - ADCC has the purpose to promote locally the tools and methods of IT for social and cultural work. Our target group are especially young adults but the training activities are for general public. Activities • Support of different training activities (workshops aiming to provide ICT skills, workshops related to Intercultural Learning, Youth Participation, Entrepreneurship); • Support of activities regarding global citizenship and education in local schools • Creation and promotion of tools and activities that promote opportunities for education; training, employment, mobility, non-formal education and entrepreneurship; • Support of different projects and activities developed in Rato – ADCC; • Content management, creation of multimedia content • Support of activities in our Makerspace. Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Accomodation - The volunteer will live in a rented apartment, that will be shared with other ESC volunteers. The apartment has all necessary equimpent. Food - The volunteer will get allowance to buy food by himself/herself and prepare the meals. The public transportation will be necessary between volunteer's acommodation and the office. Rato – ADCC will provide transporttation card and monthly ticket for volunteer.
Wat leer je?
Besides the language training and local and cultural integration, the volunteer will have the opportunity to get knowledge in the following areas: • Training of trainers in ICT • Web Design in WordPress • Digital multimedia creation and edition • Maker space resources (3D printer, arduino, sewing and embroidery machine, badge machine, stamping machine...) • Organization and promotion of youth events
Wie zoeken we?
The activities are very much related to "digital" and the idea that a computer is a tool fundamental to help the community and develop social and cultural work. Within this philosophy we would like to host volunteer with following characteristics: ▪ Vocation to work with new media and digital art expression; ▪ Motivated to do the project and the activities of the project; ▪ Positive attitude towards the different activities and challenges; ▪ Open to new forms of learning; ▪ Have initiative; ▪ Intercultural open mind; ▪ Interest and passion in video creation will be welcomed.
