We are the small community kindergarten in one parish in the capital of Lithuania. Daily activities are based on non formal education. Most of the time children are playing and we stimulate them to be creative during these free games, we teach them how to behave in the group, how to respect and take care of each other. To conclude - we want let the kids to feel homey and enjoy their age and childhood. The age of children are 2-6 years, so they speak only Lithuanian, some of them just started to develop their language skills. The role of adults to preschool children is very important. They need to have someone to consult about something they are curious at the moment, to show what they have done or created (“look, I build a car”) or just to feel safe and to know that someone who can take care of you is always near. We see You as an adult, who, at the very beginning is the one, who just tries to be close the kids, say “labas” (Hello), observe the games kids are playing and be the example
Alloggio, vitto e trasporto
As a volunteer in Vilnius, you’ll live in a shared flat with other young, like-minded volunteers and have your own private room to relax. You’ll get a monthly bus card, money for food and personal expenses, and constant support from a mentor, coordinator, and tutor. Your travel costs to and from Vilnius will be reimbursed depending on the distance, as covered by the ESC project.

Make the most of your volunteering journey with strong support all the way! You'll join On-Arrival and Mid-Term trainings by the National Agency, have regular check-ins with the coordinating organisation, and enjoy extra support from the host. Reflection sessions will help you share experiences, gain insights, and grow both personally and professionally in a safe, supportive space.
Profilo del partecipante
We’re looking for motivated young people (18–30 y.o.) who haven’t done long-term ESC or EVS before. You don’t need a diploma, perfect English, or experience in the field—what matters most is your motivation and your ability to express it clearly. You should be open-minded, responsible, eager to learn, and ready to stay in Lithuania for the full duration of the project. Good communication skills, creativity, and interest in working with kids are a big plus!
