Blivande Idéer AB

Stockholm, Svezia

Descrizione

Blivande is looking for a hands-on and proactive volunteer to support our container village Frihamnstorget. You'll act as a daily supporting host to our team, helping keep the space organized and help with our experimental urban garden. You’ll also help coordinate community workshops during summer. This role is around 50% focused on urban gardening. The remaining 50% of your time you will support the development of the creative container village Frihamnstorget. We’re looking for someone who is organized, practical, and community-minded. It is important that you appreciate hands-on work and don’t mind physically helping out, as it will be a large part of your daily work. Blivande welcomes 4 volunteers this year, so you will be part of a bigger volunteer and staff member team, where each of us has their own areas of responsibility. We help each other out if needed.

Alloggio, vitto e trasporto

You will have a private room, either in a shared flat or collective living. In addition to your pocket money, you’ll receive food allowance to buy and cook your own meals, giving you flexibility. For local transport, you can choose between a bicycle or a public transport card for the duration of your stay.

Formazione durante l'attività

Work with different types of artists and community members. Learn urban gardening and get hands-on experience in the cultural sector. Tasks are tailored to your abilities, with opportunities to start your own project if time allows (not required). Gain practical skills using tools, contribute to building creative projects, and grow in a multicultural, inclusive environment.

Profilo del partecipante

As a volunteer you will thrive at Blivande if you are hands-on, proactive, and community-minded, and enjoy working in a creative and dynamic environment. It is beneficial if you are organized, practical, and comfortable with physical tasks as these skills are needed for the your tasks. As you will work with a large variety of people, it is important that you enjoy helping others, have an inclusive mindset (we have many neurodivergent community members) and thrive in community settings, where many people need to be taken into account for decision making. Please be aware that a lot of cultural productions happen during the weekend and evenings. This means that we have flexible working hours. Sometimes you will be working on weekends or evenings, but you can then take days during the week off, to compensate and rest. As you will work with a large variety of people, it is important that you enjoy helping others, have an inclusive mindset (we have many neurodivergent community members) and thrive in community settings, where many people need to be taken into account for decision making. We are looking only for volunteers that want to spend an entire period available with us from May 2026 to mid December 2026. We currently can’t accommodate different timelines, therefore we would ask you to only apply if you can commit to this timeframe. Finally, part of your role includes supporting the taking care of the premises. Every team member (both staff and volunteers) has certain responsibilities to help keep the space clean and tidy for everyone. Info on selection process: We receive each year a large amount of applications. Please check your email during the application period to ensure you don't miss information.
