Dare to Act: Volunteering in the School Complex with Special and Integrational Classes in Waganowice

Opis
We are looking for a volunteer ready to work in the very friendly and supportive school in the village Waganowice nearby Krakow, Poland. Project starts on the 1st of September 2025 till 13th of August 2026. Volunteer's tasks will be to support students in their education on everyday basis. Lately volunteers support students with disabilities to focus during activities, to be active and fully involved. This includes one to one work with some of the students during lessons. Volunteers assists also during the walks outside the school area and school trips to another places. there is also a space for volunteer's own projects. This project gives the opportunity to develope intercultural, interpersonal and labguage skills. It requires good time management, because the hosting organisation is located outside the city and to get there volunteer needs to get up early in the morning to catch the school bus. But it gives a lot of satisfaction.
Smještaj, hrana i prijevoz
Volunteer will stay with another ESC hosted by IB Polska in the flat rented in Krakow and go to school every morning. IB Polska provides monthly card for the public transport in Krakow and also from Krakow to Słomniki. Volunteer will receive the food allowance and pocket money in the first days of every month.
Osposobljavanje tijekom aktivnosti
Each volunteer participates in the preparation meeting organised by the sending organisatoin before the start of the project. IB Polska organises introduction to the project and communication in the first weeks of the project. Volunteers participate in the 2 obligatory meetings provided by the Polish National Agency: on-arrival trainig shortly after starting the project and mid-term evaluation in the second part of the project. IB Polska organises regular meetings with the group of volunteers and one-to-one meetings. Volunteers get access to the Polish course and on-line trainings.
Profil sudionika
We are looking for candidates in the age between 18 and 30 years old (accordingly to the rules of the ES programme). Candidates have to be open to other cultures and learning opportunities that are a part of the project. IB Polska will be hosting a group of volunteers from other countries, so it is important to us that the project participants feel respected and safe.
