The European volunteer will implement activities in relation with Sustainable Development Goals with the children, teenagers and families of the Youth center. • The volunteer will develop some specific activities already put in place by the youth centre: • Literary price "Living Together is An Art" • Discover the books of the selection with the children • Create activities (painting, games, theatre, music...) in relation with the subjects of the price • Create activities to open the literary price to other partners (elder people etc.) • Swope zone and responsible consumption: • Create activities in relation to responsible production and consumption (clothing, toys, books etc.) for the children and teenagers • Animate the swope zone of the youth centre: ensure the proper functioning of the equipment, organize some event to make discover the swope zone and its concept to families and to the villager.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
The volunteer will share the flat with another volunteer and she/he will have his own room. The flat is in Saint-Etienne. It is equipped with a fridge, a gas stove, a washing machine, a microwave. The volunteer will by himself. The money will be given at the beginning of each month for the purchase of food in addition of pocket money. And he will have an unlimited transit pass to move in Saint-Etienne. The activity is bases in a village nearby.
Mācības pasākuma laikā
During the first months, the volunteer will have French class. The volunteer will participate to the on-arrival and midterm training organized by National Agency. All project long, the volunteer will participate to different trainings, as SDG's training, as Education for Citizenship and International Solidarity's training.
Dalībnieka profils
It’s important to note that we are looking for volunteers who are available for a 6-month commitment. As mentioned earlier, volunteers will take part in projects focused on promoting openness to others and “living together,” within Ufcv and its recreation centers in Loire Sud. We would prefer candidates who have already reflected on these themes and are aware of their importance. The goal is to encourage both the public and local stakeholders to adopt a more inclusive perspective, fostering better coexistence through tools that promote collaboration. These include intercultural expression activities, intergenerational exchanges, and cultural or creative workshops. A genuine interest in working with children and teenagers is essential. Volunteers should also feel comfortable working as part of a team, including participating in planning, organization, communication, and meetings. While speaking French is not required (an intensive French course is planned), it is preferable that volunteers are able to communicate clearly in English.
