- Researching practices to address SDG #11: Sustainable Cities & Communities, e.g. how to recycle better in the space, researching & implementing practices for zero waste events, develop circular waste concepts for the different co-working spaces - Awareness raising: think of ideas of how to raise awareness of sustainable coworking & event practices. Test out those ideas & gather feedback from the community. Want to create an event with a theme that is both of environmental importance and close to your heart - go for it - Researching diverse sustainability related topics that help our spaces develop according to our long-term sustainability roadmap - Designing and implementing sustainability focused best-practices in a broad set of space-related situations - Gathering and analysing consumption data both internally and when sourced from external partners. Using the data to make scientifically informed decisions that improves the overall wellbeing of our visitors

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

You will be involved 7-8 hours a day from Monday to Friday (including 30 minutes of break). Saturdays and Sundays are free and you have a right to take 2 days off per a month. Approx. EUR 1000,- per month is available to cover accommodation, food and pocket money. Travel expenses (return ticket) will be reimbursed according to Erasmus+ rules after arrival and after receiving all copies of boarding passes/ other tickets. A yearly ticket for the public transportation in Vienna will be provided. A German course will be provided. You are covered by CIGNA insurance that is arranged through the ESC.

Wat leer je?

You will have the chance to develop your own project related to the Sustainable Development Goals during the volunteering. The project will be co-designed with the Impact Hub Team and can be something that has personal relevance and is related to your personal passion or interests but is also connected to the overall mission and operations of the Impact Hub. We will support you in this process. A German course (at the respective level) will be covered by Impact Hub Vienna.

Wie zoeken we?

Young people between 18 and 30 years old • Knowledge of English language preferred • German is most welcome but not a must. A language course will be provided upon request. • Self-starter, hands-on, with good communication skills, willing to help • Curious and willing to learn • Interested in social entrepreneurship, startups, and co-working is a plus • Proactive, communicative and motivated person • Experience in community building is an advantage • Enjoy working in a team • We welcome applications from people with diverse abilities and backgrounds!
