!!!WE ONLY ACCEPT APPLICATIONS THROUGH OUR LINK BELOW!!! The Kinder- und Jugendkulturwerkstatt (JoJo) is a public institution for children and youth open for everybody. It is located on the edge of a residential area in the southeast part of Leipzig. It offers courses, projects and workshops for children and youth in the artistic and cultural field like theatre, art, photography, literature, multimedia, drawing and pottery. In the JoJo there are four full-time staff members, one German long term volunteer and a number of freelancers. The children and youth are provided with the opportunity to explore their surroundings and to learn how to express themselves through artistic media. They receive support and encouragement from artists. Children and teenagers (between 4 and 18 years) get the possibility to organize their own events and workshops.
Dzīvošana, ēdināšana un transports
You will live together with other volunteers in a shared flat, with your own single bedroom. Furthermore, you will receive food- & pocket money as well as a ticket for public transportation in Leipzig. Mācības pasākuma laikā
During the ESC: the volunteer receive a basic language training of some kind (not always an official course), also other training needed to carry out agreed tasks and the volunteer attend the On-Arrival training and Mid-term seminar offered by NA. In addition, there will be realised several project days towards topics of solidarity in europe / participation / social projects for all ESC volunteers.
Dalībnieka profils
Interested in our creative, cultural and social work and have the desire to work in artistic fields with young people and kids. Some practical experience in working with children and youth is welcome. We are delighted when volunteers come to us with their own ideas or projects and bring some skills in artistic / creative fields.
