We Will Wake Up Ormož 3! is an upcoming two-week group volunteering project organized by Youth Centre Ormož, located in a small town in northeastern Slovenia. The project aims to bring together young volunteers from different cultural backgrounds and involve them in local community life through cultural, educational, and social activities, while promoting solidarity, intercultural exchange, and active citizenship. As part of the Youth Centre Ormož team, volunteers will assist in organizing events, create their own activities, run workshops for children and teenagers, help with event decorations and logistics, represent their countries and cultures, and promote Erasmus+ projects. During the project, volunteers will help organize three major community events: The Family Picnic for children and parents, Parada učenja as an intergenerational learning event, and Zbudi se Ormož, a full-day community event. Volunteers will also prepare a cultural evening for the town.
Profilo del partecipante
We are looking for motivated young people who are interested in volunteering, community work, and intercultural exchange. Participants should be open-minded, responsible, and willing to actively take part in group activities and community events. No previous experience is required, but a positive attitude, flexibility, and readiness to learn are essential. Volunteers should enjoy working with children and teenagers, be interested in cultural, creative, educational, or sports activities, and feel comfortable expressing their ideas and taking initiative. We welcome participants who are eager to share their culture, traditions, and experiences, and who are curious about learning from others. Basic communication skills in English are expected, as English will be the working language of the project. Participants should be prepared for an active program and willing to engage in both planning and implementation of events.
