Movimiento por la Paz – MPDL is a social, pacifist, feminist and anti-racist organization that, for more than 40 years, has worked towards building more just, inclusive and peaceful societies, promoting the defense of human rights and a culture of peace in diverse international contexts. Within the framework of the ACT4PEACE project, which aims to promote youth volunteering as a tool for social transformation in Latin America and the MENA region, MPDL offers an international volunteering opportunity in Morocco. The volunteer will join the MPDL team in the country, supporting the implementation, monitoring and management of projects with a human rights, gender and inclusion approach. Their participation will contribute to strengthening local initiatives for development, social cohesion and sustainable peacebuilding, while also promoting intercultural exchange, mutual learning and active engagement in global citizenship.

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer

Accommodation, visa, insurance and flight costs are covered by the project. The accommodation will be located in a safe area of Rabat, with easy access to services such as supermarkets, restaurants, hospitals and public transport. It will include all basic utilities (electricity, water, gas, internet) and a private room for each volunteer. In addition, the volunteer will receive a monthly allowance to cover personal expenses, including food and local transport. Travel costs from your place of residence to the host country will also be covered.

Wat leer je?

You will attend a pre-departure training covering MPDL, humanitarian aid, security, mentoring and practical aspects (visa, insurance, etc.). Upon arrival in the host country, you will receive an induction on the hosting organization, your tasks and your role. In addition, you will have the opportunity to participate in exchange spaces with other volunteers and in training activities aimed at strengthening transversal skills such as intercultural awareness. During your deployment, you are encouraged to take advantage of EU training opportunities such as OLS, GOT and SALTO.

Wie zoeken we?

We are looking for a person motivated to contribute to social transformation and peacebuilding processes, committed to the pacifist, feminist and anti-racist values of our organization, and willing to join the MPDL Morocco team for 9 months. Interest in project management with a gender perspective will be positively valued, as well as knowledge of languages such as French. Throughout the experience, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor. If you have faced barriers in accessing services, healthcare, employment or education, or if you live in peripheral or remote areas, we especially encourage you to apply! Candidates must be between 18 and 35 years old, reside in one of the eligible countries (EU Member States, North Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Türkiye), have completed the mandatory Humanitarian Aid Volunteering training, and must not have previously participated in individual Humanitarian Aid Volunteering programmes. The total combined duration of participation cannot exceed 12 months.
