The project is to raise awareness of local youth and local community about green lifestyle and environment protection through workshops (formal and nonformal) as well as hands-on creation of recycled playgrounds, indoor and outdoor green spaces. As the Environmental Education & Green Space Coordinator, the volunteer will have freedom in developing, designing and delivering planned actions in innovative and interactive ways with the engagement and support of local core team members including local youth and CSDS staff. Tentative activities are as follow: Plan and deliver interactive workshops on sustainability and eco-friendly lifestyles for children/students of all ages. Collect and organize recyclable materials for creative reuse Monitor and evaluate the impact of workshops and green spaces Design and implement recycled playgrounds and indoor/outdoor green spaces Organize Clean-up events at public spaces in the local community and Green Campaigns. Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The Environmental Education & Green Space Coordinator will be living in the volunteer house in twin room (sharing room with one other volunteer, same gender). The house has free wifi, hot water for showers in the winter and aircon/fans for the summer. The house has nanny to take care of cleaning, food cooking. Food is provided 3 times a day from Monday to Sunday except Saturday. Kitchen has basic utensils that the volunteer can use as needed. The house is located in local area with shop, ATM, local markets, cafe,etc. Provided is monthly buspass for free travel around Hanoi
Wat leer je?
The Environmental Education & Green Space Coordinator will be provided with On Arrival Training for 5 days to better understand about culture, country, life, workstyle of Vietnamese people. The volunteer will be arranged for city tours and other events for culture immersion. The volunteer will be provided with Vietnamese lessons along the way and a team of youthful and active staff and local volunteers as supporters and mentors. During the program duration, the volunteer will also be taken to NGOs and associations/clubs who are working with strong focus on environment protection.
