Allianssi Youth Exchanges works for intercultural learning and global understanding via international learning mobility programs and projects. We coordinate volunteer and training programs both in Finland and abroad (ESC, Erasmus+, international volunteering). We are involved in community projects engaging youth and actions increasing awareness on environment, climate justice, sustainability, diversity and youth wellbeing. We look for a volunteer for 11-12 months with interest in working with and for young people. The volunteer works with a variety of tasks depending on the skills and interests of the volunteer as well as the current activities of the organization The volunteer will do social media, co-organise events and act as a group leader, so interest towards these is seen as an asset.

Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
The volunteer will be accommodated in shared apartment in Helsinki and will have own room. The location has good public transportation connection to the office and city center. The volunteer will receive food money to buy groceries and cook food their own food.

Our long term volunteer is placed in Allianssi Youth Exchanges office in Helsinki. The volunteer works with partners, co-organises events and activities and acts as a group leader in volunteer camps. The volunteer communicates with young people related to different programs and exchanges through social media, school visits and fairs. We are involved in several projects where the volunteer could assist empowering youth and to raise awareness on environmental and sustainability issues, climate justice and Baltic Sea. In addition, the volunteer is encouraged to organise events related to active citizenship, wellbeing and inclusion. In case you have interest, knowledge, skills or former experience related to these topics or fields please feel free to tell us more.
Previous experience in communication, volunteering and trainings will be useful. We value sufficient level of English, self-initiative and positive attitude towards life.
The volunteer will be a member of a small but active team of Allianssi Youth Exchanges consisting of about six persons.
