Have you ever thought of joining a team of volunteers and spending two weeks in a permacultural community in the Latvian countryside where everyone works together? Volunteers tasks - Eco-construction with clay and straw Create new Construction projects using natural materials pizza oven clay plaster for the garden wall firewood shed lime plaster for the duck house Landscaping clean up the nature-protected river create a relaxation area by the pond (dig sand for a volleyball court) paint the outdoor shower (restore the existing design) gardening + creating a hot compost pile Other firewood work kitchen help making social media posts Zero drugs and alcohol policy; Working & learning time: six-seven hours per day; Bicycles can be used to move around; Internet connection is ensured; Laundry wash will be available; The volunteers are invited to make a fire and play, sing or gather in the evening. Travel, accommodation, meals and training are paid by ESC.
Regelingen voor accommodatie, eten, en vervoer
Facilities for groups in Zadiņi are conditioned by the resources of the place and framed under the sustainability principles of permaculture. Guests are accommodated in our roof attic individual matresses. Here, everyone sleeps together on the same level, but the sleeping areas are separated by curtains or tents. Food-3 vegetarian meals per day; volunters helps to cook. Food money on days off. Wat leer je?
The education provided is based on the priciples of solidarity and learning by doing. Through practical work participants will gain: knowledge of climate change, environmental challenges-solutions, the biological importance of diversity, circular economy, friendly consumption Learning to engage in inclusive teamwork with individuals of all abilities and backgrounds to achieve shared goals and drive social integration makes decisions at both personal and group levels to design and execute original initiatives within the volunteer learning path, effectively leveraging mentor support.
Wie zoeken we?
We are looking for a person from 18 until 30 years old, who is interested in discovering permacultural constructions methods, gardening and lifestyle; and who is not very picky with the countryside life conditions and is willing to work together with an international team, do community life, share their hobbies and interests and spend a nice time together.
